The No. 18 Rebels (29-12, 10-8 SEC) walked off 8-7 in the 10th inning against Mississippi State at Trustmark Park on April 22. Will Furniss won the game with a two-out, two-strike single to score Brayden Randle.
Ole Miss designated hitter Austin Fawley hit a two-run homer with one out in the ninth inning to tie the game.
It’s Ole Miss’ first win in the annual Governor's Cup since 2022. The Bulldogs (24-17, 6-12) had won six of the past seven Governor’s Cups.
The teams play each other three more times this season in an SEC series at Dudy Noble Field beginning on May 9.
